MSDC dba Learning Forward Missouri is proud to sponsor awards recognizing individuals, teams, schools and districts who exemplify the mission, vision and values of the organization.  Winners are recognized at the Show-Me Professional Learning Conference and are invited to present.

Outstanding Professional Learning Team(s):

Outstanding Instructional Leadership Award:

  • Jazminique Holley, St. Louis Voices Academy

Through her vision, commitment to academic rigor, and unwavering dedication to using data to drive instruction, she has transformed St. Louis Voices Academy into a school where students are achieving remarkable growth. Her ability to turn data into actionable insights, set clear academic goals, and lead her team toward continuous improvement has made her an indispensable asset to our school.”

Outstanding Instructional Leadership

Recognizing that High-Quality Professional Learning requires meeting the standards. LearningForward-MO will recognize instructional leaders who exceed in all of the Learning Forward standards. An instructional leader is defined as anyone (PD chair, instructional coach, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, director, or superintendent) who has shown leadership qualities in guiding colleagues toward high-quality professional learning.

Outstanding Educator

Outstanding Teacher Leadership award is for an individual whose primary responsibility is working with students and who exemplifies High Quality Teaching, engages in High Quality Professional Learning, and who has made significant contributions to his/her school and district throughout his or her professional career. Any LF-MO member may nominate a person for the award.

Outstanding Team

This award recognizes a PDC, grade level team, content/department, PLC or any district-wide or building level team focused on effective instructional practice to improve student learning.

Jody Wood Action Research Award

In honor of Dr. Jody Wood’s ongoing commitment to Learning Forward Missouri, this award recognizes an educator that excels in using action research to inform professional learning practices and thus impacts student learning in a positive way.
